We can’t stand Tammy Slaton

Main Post:

So my best friend and I host a podcast series where we recap the 1000lb sisters reality tv show in TLC.

We both cannot fathom how Tammy Slaton has sooo many followers on all platforms of social media where people literally worship her?

I understand being her size and what not she would be absolutely miserable, But that’s not and excuse to be a trash human like she is. She also does nothing to help herself at all so we don’t feel sorry for her in the slightest.

She is absolutely horrid. I have no idea what people find to like about her.

Tammy is making this show unbearable to watch

I wondered why Amy stopped having filming take place in her house, when a lot of the first season was in her house. I don’t know if I just never noticed the filth in her house scenes, or if she’d just made an effort and picked up back then. It did make me kind of giggle when she was crying about being bullied online about vermin in her videos and at that moment a big, beefy roach made a cameo on her stove behind her.

So how terrible was this movie?

Tammy is literally the worst human I’ve ever seen. Frustrates me so badly I had to stop watching the show. I could go on but it would not be nice.

Main Post:

Am I the only one who feels this way?

I dunno, Whitney from My Big Fat Fabulous Life gives her a run for her sodies. I could make it through both seasons of Tammy and Amy but I couldn't even make it through episode 1 of Whitney's show.

The production company is the problem here. They put her on regular TV, and she was already thirst trapping and being a fraud on YouTube.

Her death will be heavily advertised 3 shows with cliffhangers. They will make sure to tell America the cost and difficulty to bury a 700 pound person. It will he exploitative and she will end up being a joke or example of what not to do.

The production team will apologize and her family will be even more dysfunctional than when the whole thing started. The production team will find a bigger mess and make more money with their next victims.

Tammy isn’t as good as y’all think she is and Amy isn’t as bad as y’all think she is

Main Post:

This sub has flip flopped this season it seems to love Tammy but hate Amy. I think ppl think that Tammy losing weight means she’s changed, but I haven’t seen that. She seems just as disrespectful. Amy seems to be struggling with post partum depression, and it seems like this sub has zero empathy. Like when she’s crying cause Michael had gotten Covid. All I saw were ppl calling her dramatic. And it rly shows how little sympathy ppl can have for pregnant woman. I feels like ppl only like fat ppl when they’re actively trying to lose weight.

I watched the slatons before they came on tlc, and honestly even tho they both can be really obnoxious, they have lived terrible lives. They alluded to molestation in one of their early videos and mentioned their real dad is in prison for being a child molester. The girls were highly neglected with their mom being gone to work all day then bringing home a strange man all the time. They lived in filth too. Their older siblings were also very mean to them and didnt want anything to do with them, until the show came along. I try to remember that when I want to say an unkind thing about them. Lots of people dont know how lucky they are that they didnt grow up like the girls did.

Tammy slaton has lost so much weight and she had just as many challenges as whitney.

Main Post:

Ryan's Instagram post about PCOS isn't an excuse and he'll give someone a years worth of FREE personal training, blows out Whitneys identity that PCOS is the root cause of her weight because she only eats once a day. If Tammy Slaton can change her life around, what's stopping Whitney?

Top Comment:

Actually I think Tammy and her sister had more challenges than Whitney. Amy was able to reach her goals, got surgery, had her baby and is back to losing weight. Yes she is still overweight but she has made way more progress than Whitney. Tammy has had way more challenges and has been a crazy level of denial, but even she tried rehab a couple of times.

The Slaton sisters had to deal with poverty, poor access to care, poor health education and a mother who was not supportive at all. Where as Whitney grew up middle class, went to college, traveled the world and had 2 parents who supported her. So the only thing stopping her is denial and laziness.

Tammy has changed A LOT.

Main Post:

I've been rewatching season 1 and aside from the weight gain Tammy has dramatically changed.

Tammy uses a cutesy child voice in season one that makes me so angry. She is much more soft spoken and gentle when interacting with others.

At one point Tammy says she feels like a burden to Amy. Soooo contrary to how she behaves now like her family OWES their care to her.

Was Tammy masking in season one to hide her evil personality that we are finally seeing? Or has Tammy become who she is now over time?

Top Comment:

No, she was masking. She had a reputation for being rude and nasty during their YouTube days. There’s even a compilation video from a few years back showing her being mean to her autistic nephew.
